Bixby Boudoir
The Bixby Belle has a new place to shop for her undergarments now that Lucy’s Boudoir, or Lucy B, has opened in the business district.
Owner Michelle Jouvence, who has a background in fashion design and has been selling Lucy B vintage-inspired lingerie for more than a decade online, said it was time to unveil a bricks-and-mortar location for her growing business.
Jouvence said “it is just the right time” to have a storefront for the business — something she has long wanted to do. Still, owning a physical store has its challenges, and Jouvence said right now she is focused on getting the word out to consumers about the new shopping opportunity.
“We’ve been open for about one month now, and we are still trying to get the work out and get noticed by the community,” she said. “We are planning a grand opening party in a few weeks, and we are giving away a free signature panty for everyone who comes into the store while supplies last.”
The French-themed lingerie boutique — which features hard-to-find bra sizes, pinup lingerie, swimsuits and more — is located at 3925 Long Beach Blvd. and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays. For details, visit www.lucyb.com or call 997-8786.
